Database solutions fall into two broad scopes.

• Asset Inventory
• Collecting input from a web page

For Asset Inventory we use "Microsoft's Access Database". For the collection of generic input we use the open source "MySQL" database management system.

If you have not already done so, maybe it's time to consider using MySQL as a database. After all, its free of charge.
